Gramlakshmi as the name suggests is focused towards development of our villages and women empowerment in rural India. Gramalakshmi is a 100% volunteer based non-profit organization whose sole motive is focused on three important things :
Women play a vital role in shaping the society hence the name Grama meaning Village, Lakshmi- goddess of wealth symbolizing women. The main objective of the non-profit is to bring the same glory back to our villages and our women. We have been fortunate enough to partner with the founders of Virtue tech and other people both in US and in India.
In ancient India both women and villages have always been given a lot of importance and were given the same respect as god. As women play a vital role in a household, so do villages play a crucial role in the development of a country. Betterment of one cannot be done without another. We strongly believe that villages are the backbone of any country.
